She has IC7 men aboard, including 13 cot cases. .About ten men have each lost a limb. The majority were wounded in France. F. Redpath, of the Wellington Infantry, died on the voyage. ..Speaking at the reception to the men, Lord Liverpool said the Marama was next going to BonAav to pick up men from Mesopotamia. He also read a letter from the King expressing his hearty appreciation of the Ist and 2nd Battalions of the Rifle Brigade, .vhom hp inspected about six weeks ago. The Canterbury .men leave by tlie second express to-morrow, and the North Islanders by the Maori for Wellington direct on Tuesday.

iMiOTOR CAR ACCIDENT. Woodville, October 20. Early this morning a :ar, owned and driven'by JUr. AV. Kemp, of Kumeroa, 'while returning from the Hastings show with Messrs Boyd, Johansen, and Nicoll (Pahiatua), and G. Peddles (Woodville), was overturned in McLean, street. The occupants were thrown out and injured. Four were taken to Pahiatua Hospital. After treatment, two were able to leave. 'Messrs Kemp and Nicoll's injuries were more serious; the former was unconscious. Mr, Johansen had a broken inn and a number of cuts. Mr. Boyd was bruised and cut about. The car was badly damaged.

These will be the first eases brought 'by the police in Auckland. The eases .concern four hotels.
