Patriotic tournament. Theic was a large attendance of golfer? at the Waiwakaiho links yesterday, when the New Plymouth Club d'rduetod a tournament in aid of the Soldn.rs' Comforts Week Fund. The weather was ideal, and despite the recent h.MVy rains the links were in first-class order. There was a large number jf visiting golfers participating, and the various competitions were keenly contested. Following are the results:--La<l'es' Pairs (best ball): Mrs. Butcher (Patea) and Miss Bundle (Witiora), 3 up; Miss Putt and Miss L. Thompson (both New Plymouth), 2 up. Ladies' Approaching.
