PATRIOTIC TOURNAMENT. •■ The New Plymouth Club- is holding a tournament in aid of the. Comforts Week Fund en the Waiwakaiho links to-day, and it promises to be a great success, players from as fai as Patea having signified their intention of competing. There will be matches foi both ladies and gentlemen, the ladies commencing at eleven o'clock and the gentlemen at nine, .or as soon thereafter as poss'ble. The ladies will hold a combined medal and bogey match in the morning and have, driving and approaching competitions in the afternoon; whilst for tlio gentlemen there will be a medal match in tlie morning and a four-hall (players choosing their own partners) in the afternoon, to be followed hy driving , jnd approaching if time permits. Continuous putting may a.lso be indulged in on the pavilion green. Players will require to make their own arrangements for lunch, but afternoon tea may be obtained at the pavilion.
