CORRESPONDENCE.
A GOVERNMENT'S CONSISTENCY.

Triggs, of the Public Service Commission, who get* £IOOO a year, has grabbed £2OO extra; Salmond, Solicitor-General, £1250 per annum, is to have £125 more; Valintine. Inspector-General ot Hospitals, who draws £BSO. gets away with £125; Collins, Auditor-General, and Campbell, Secretary of the Treasury, with .31000 a year a-piece, receive £IOO. These are only a few of the many who have been given war profits by a Government who says there should not be any."—l am, etc., RENOWN. Opuna-ke, October 19.
