The Westland Land Board to-day con« firmed the grant of a lease and reservations over 30,000 acres of bush land to the New Zealand Wood Pulp and Paper Manufacturing Company. Limited. The company has a waterright over 3000 Government heads to generate the necessary power; and further bUsh reserves totalling 30,000 acres have been set asido by the Government for the purposes of the industry. The company is increasing Its capital to £20,000 for the purpose of commencing operations in the neat future in the vicinity of Otira.
