Mrs. Petherbridge lias evidently been keeping in the dark, and we will all look forward to her reappearance. At the conclusion of the concert, the usual presentation from the Patriotic Society and Ladies' League took place. Private Kilsby also received a presentation from the St. iPhilip's Church. Supper <vas then harfded round, and afterwards dancing was indulged in. Mrs. Arthur, of Hihitahi, played for the dance, and her services were greatly appreciated. In last Tuesday's X«ws a letter ?igned by ''Tine who is proud of Tank'" appeared and complained of my criticism re conduct at concerts. Well, I hope he attended last Thursday's entertainment, for he would certainly have noticed a decided improvement and seen tlmt my few' remarks had some eflect. Pn'iuipI have attended as many or even more country than my friend, and if every concert is conducted as well as last' Thursday's I would compare them favorably with any country councerts I have attended.
