NATIONAL WAR FUND.
MEETING OF COUNCII* By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington. Last Night. The National Wai Fund Council met to-day. It was reported that the funds in lirnd totalled £22,034. It was announced that a donation of £2OOO bad been leeeived from Mr. Hugh Handyside, late of Hawke's Bay, but now residing in Scotland, for the benefit of New Zealand sick and wounded soldiers. An application from the Westland Patriotic Committee for the Council to* take over the administration of its fundi \,'as agreed to, but a similar applicator from the Buller Committee was held over, pending the receipt of further information. .
