BETTING TAXES.
IMPOSED IN VICTORIA, Received Oct. 13, 11 p.m. Melbourne, Oct; IS. The Assembly passed a betting, tali providing for the payment of bookmakers' licenses as follows: Flcmington ami Caulfield, £. r io for grandstand enclosures, £ls for hill and £5 for flat. On other courses, £5 to £lO. There is also a tax on race tickets of 3d for grandstand enclosure and Id elsewhere.
