TARANAKI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.

COMMITTEE. [ A meeting of the committee was held on Saturday afternoon. Present: Messrs J. ft. Connett (chairman), S, R. Hill, 11. C. Sampson, W. B. Grant, W. Hull, S. Vickers, J. Allen, R. Johnston, J. 'R. Rowlands, C. Lister. A. T. Moore, R. ii. Vigott, C. W. Rueble, G. Andrews, and T. Luxton. A letter v/as read from the Taranaki Jockey Club enclosing a donation of £IOO towards the Society's new grounds at Wahvakaiho.—At the instance of Messrs Hill and Rcube a hearty vote of thaniss was passed to the club for their generous donation. The president reported having seen Mr. J. Andrews with reference to growing a supply of green feed to be available at show time, but Mr. Andrews had stated that it was impossible for him to meet the Society's, requirements this year. Mr. R. .Johnstone said he would provide a paddock for the purpose of growing feed for the stock, and this was accepted with thanks. The sub-cj-nmittees appointed to revise the varin'.i; sections for the autumn show submitted their reports, and their recommendations, after due considers tion, were adopted. The Secretary (Mr. A. L. Humphries) made a suggestion that the Society should have new prize certificates engraved, and that these should be framed. The present certificate was not prized by winners, and the extra cost entailed ccild be got over by the issue of fewer certificates than heretofore. The chair.ne.u and Messrs Watson, Moore, Gran'', Hall and Sampson were appointed a rub-committee to investigate and report on the matter at a subsequent meeting. ' It was ag.'orl that the notice printed in previous catalogues, relating to luncheon privileges, etc., agreed upon between the tfgmont, Stratford and Taranaki Societies, should be deleted. After further detailed discussion the committee adjourned. The annual meeting of the Society will be held on Saturday next at the Good Templtr Hall.
