ANNUAL MEETiyG. The animal meeting of trie Egmont Road Hall Association was held in the liall on Wednesday, Mr. H. C. Sampson presiding. The chairman, in moving the adoption of the balance-sheet, which was carried, remarked that they had reduced the overdraft to £-12, mostly by donations from people of the district. The greatest expenditure had been for installing Wizard lights. Hie cost of catering liail been much lower than usual, as the ladies had been to the fore in providing for socials, etc. But for them the balance would have been on the other side. Mr. Sampson mentioned that, in connection with the donation of d. handsome roll of honor of the young fellows of the district by Mr. Hill, he would like to see the photographs of all these men framed and hung at the end of the hall, and if this was done the end wall should he lined. Lining was the greatest improvement they could do inside. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr. H. C. Sampson (re-elect-ed); vice-president, Mr. L. A. Marsh; secretary and treasurer, Mr. L. W. Bishop; honorary auditor, Air. U. feppeieil: committee, Mesdames Snicllie and Hill, Messrs. 1. Hawkins, W. Bint, .]. .Sampson, E. Cole, E. Baniball, H. Skelton and X. W. 'Hill. The. chairman proposed a vote of thanks to the secretary (Mr. L. W. Bishop) for his past services. The motion was carried, but the secretary declined to accept the honorarium it was proposed to offer. A vote of thanks was also passed to Mr. R. Pepperell for his services as auditor.
