FIGHTING ON THE WEST AGAIN IN FULL SWING. Received Sept, 25, 5.5 p.m. London, Sept. 24. A German communique sta'cs that the Somine fighting is again in full swing. Allied attacks at Courcelette, Raneuiirt and Bouehavesnes faikd. They claime to have brought down twentyfour aeroplanes, whereof twenty were in the Somine district. It admits they lost nine, and states that live Russian mass atacks between the Sercth and Strvpa were beaten off, whilst Roumanian attacks in the Vulvttii pass were repulsed. POLITICAL CRISIS DEVELOPING. | Amsterdam, Sept. 24. A great political crisis is slowly developing ill Germany, and there is no' doubt that Pan-Germans are doing their utmost to overthrow the Chancellor (llerr von Hethmann-Tlollweg). The crisis is a sequel to the publication of correspondence between Admiral Tirpitz and llerr von Bethmaun-Holhveg, showing that the latter is opposed to the ruthless submarine warfare favored by the Pan-Geniiiuis. TOLL ON GERM AX .MANHOOD Copenhagen, Sept. 2* The National Mitiende states that two per cent, of the North ScMeswig population are killed or missing. If this proportion applies to the Empire, 1,400.000 ('(■rnians have been killed, not counting deaths from sickness. The National Mitiende states that in all ten millions have been called up for military service in Germany and seven millions have actually bee" the firlnir lino.
