Reports state that the enemy losses ir. the Dobrudja were one-fourth of tlieii clfectives. The Russian artillery was eolossally destructive and no prisoner: were taken. An attempt by submarines to come out of Buigas and pass into the Bos phorus was frustrated. London. Sept. 24. Salonika reports the discovery in thf Aegean Sea of a large oil depot. Wai vessels encountered :t tube connecting with an underground cement-lined chamber containing an enormous quarit'ty oi oil. It is alleged that the constructor; were Greek merchants of the Piraeus who recently have grown wealthy frou unknown sources. ON THE STRUMA. BRITISH MEET WITH STRONG OPPOSITION. Renter Service. 1 Received Sept. 25. 7.30 p.m 'Salonika, Sept. 24. Official: On the Struma front the river was crossed in three places. .Ternman, which the enemy set afire, has been occupied. We met strong opposition when attacking Haradz and Ivavalla. The counter-attack was entirely dispersed, Naval and field artillery successfully bombarded the trenches. There is Greek patrol activity on the Doiran front. The weather is misty and unfavorable. SERBIANS PROGRESSING. ■DESPITE STRONG RESISTANCE. Received Sept. 25, 8 p.m. Salonika, Sept. 25. The Serbians further progressed 250 yards on the plateau of Kajmacklan, despite the resistance of the reiiiforccd Bulgars. Official: The Serbians co-operating in the Dobrudja inflicted heavy losses upon the Bulgars. Eight guns were captured. /'RANSYLVANIA. ROUMANIANS HOLD ONE-THIRD. Renter Service, i Received Sept. 25, 11 p.m. Bucharest, Sept. 25, The oecupatior of Szekelyudvarely assures the Roumanians of the possession of one-third of Transylvania, namely, of twenty thousand square metres. It enables the Roumanians to shorten their front in Tra 'sylvania from six hundred 1 tu three hundred metres. ON THE DOBRUDJA. RUSSIAN RESERVES BROUGHT UP. STRONG POSITIONS OCCUPIED.
