BOWLING.
MEETING OF THE ASSOCIATION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 21. At a meeting of the committee of the New Zealand Bowling Association, Colonel Collins presided. Mr. J. -1. Roberts was appointed secretary. It was decided to levy 3d per head on members, of affiliated clubs, which would bring in about €l3O per annum. The expenditure varied from .£125 to .CISO. The committee resolved to hold a tournament this year, to consist of rinks of pairs and singles, the net profits to be devoted to patriotic purposes. The Dominion Bowling Council decided that the next tournament should siart on January S, with the pairs. A motion that a time limit be not. introduced was carried, but the executive was given power to curtail any game that should be unduly prolonged. The Stratford bowlers had a practice match yesterday afternoon, the greens being in fair order.
