A social was held iu the Koru Hall 0)1 Tuesday, the lOst inst., in aid of ll>o school funds. The weather proving all that could be desired a fair number assembled, and put in a very pleasant evening. Musical items and dances were interspersed, and a very dainty supper was provided by the ladies. During the evening, Mr. Watson, chairman of the School Committee thanked Mr. Pearson of i)«k lira, for providing the dance music giatis, and also for his trouble in getting up the different musical items. The programme was as follows: Pianoforte, Messrs. Watson and Rail, Masters Willie Krutz and (fordon Hanson; vocal items, Mrs. Barber, Messrs. Cheshire and Pearson; recitation, Mr. Inglefiehl. Mr. Kail acted us M.C. The children were to have sung a round, but at the last moment the courage of the m:i!e members of the party failed them, and they beat a hasty retreat, much to the disappointment of the parents.
