FIXDIXG OF THE COURT*' By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. IS. Tlie inquiry into the loss of the steamer Stormbird at the mouth of the Wanganui river, was concluded on Saturday afternoon. The court completely exonerated the master, Captain Gibson. The Crown pays the costs of the inquiry. The finding was that the wreck of the StorinliirJ was due to misadventure. The cause is attributed to a sea striking the bow just as the vessel felt the effect of the set and .vind towards the end of the north mole, when the ship was light in trim. The bow being thrown towards the south mole, the vessel ivns driven broadside 011 the mole. Also the vessel had insufficient sea room to recover her self before striking. There was 110 contributing act or default 011 the part of the pilot or captain.
