WITIORA'CLUB , IADIES' CHAMPf.OXSHTP. The final of the ladies' championship between Airs. Buxton and Miss Riindlt was played at Witiora on Saturday. Miss Bundle was playing the better game at the start, and was 3 up at the turn; by careless putting on her part, the 10th was halved. Mrs. P>uxton got into difficulties in the gully at Xo. 11— Miss Rnndle 4 up. Mrs. Buxton now struck her true form, and won the next two holes. The 14th was halved and Mrs. Buxton won the 15th—Miss Rnndle 1 up. Both got away splendid drives from the "Hock's" tee,' and were in the hollow with their seconds. Mrs. Buxton dulled her third and fourth. Miss Rnndle played a good third and was two feet from 'the pin ami was out in 4 dormy 2. Both players played poor shots from the "Collin" tee. Miss Rundlc was on in two; Mrs. Buxton was bunkered, and was on foi 3 and with a good putt just missed the hole, and was down for 5] Miss Rnndle played a safe third and was out in 4, so won the match by :) up and one to play. The same players contested the filial last year, Miss Rnndle winning. Last week the ladies played the fifth match of the series, and Miss (iohbvatcr returned the good score of 107 and reduced her handicap to 25: Mrs. Buxton was second and Miss Rnndle. third.
