FRANKLEY ROAD DAIRY CO.

* ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Frankle.y Road Dairy Company was held at the factory on Wednesday evening, Mr. .1. Upson, chairman of directors, presiding over a good attendance. The annual report already published, was token as read, and the chairman, in moving its adoption, said the company had just about doubled its output during the past year, and the payment Was a record one. They had already paid out KM, and there would be a further payment by way of bonus of 2Jd, making a total payment for the season of ISJd and a fraction. Mr. Yeates seconded the motion, which was -carried after a short discussion, during which satisfaction was expressed at the fact that the factory stood fourth on the grading list out of approximately fifty factories last season. Mr. Holden congratulated the directors, secretary and manager, em the very satisfactory position of the company, unci referred to the good work which had icon done by them during the past year, as was disclosed by the report and balance-sheet. Nine nominations were received for the four vacancies on the directorate, and the ballot resulted as follows:—J. Upson 44 votes, E. Holden 43, F. Baker 38, F. Jellyman 37, F. Yeates'34, P. Gilbert 25. P. J. King 22, G. Burkett 18, and H. Marfell 12. The first four were declared elected. Mr. W. If. Falconer was re-elected auditor at a fee of £5 ss. The chairman was voted an honorarium of £lO, -and the manager a bonus of £25. Mr. Fulton, of the dairy division, addressed the shareholders with reference to cow-testing. A motion was submitted that the cost of testing be defrayed by the company, but this was rejected, and it was decided to continue as at present, provided sufficient cows were forthcoming. At a subsequent meeting of directors Mr. Upson was re-elected chairman.
