PUKEKURA PARK BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING, The monthly meeting of the Pukekura Park Board was hold on Tuesday (.'veiling. Prcont: Messrs. S. Percy Smith (chairman), I!. Cock, K. C. Hughes, Harris Ford, A. Newman, V. E. Ikllriugcr and K. 11. Tribe (secretary). The curaior (Mr. \V. \V. Smith) reported that part of the work during the month consisted of cleaning and preparing ground for planting with native trees near the John Street entrance. They intended to proceed with the planting this week. Since the 13th, the work had been chiefly that of mowing and cleaning. During the present fine weather they proposed to continue the raising and reforming of the broad day walk at the new entrance. They had ■removed the small drainage pipes and replaced thorn with six and nine-inch pipes to allow of free drainage. Respecting the board's two boats he asked if they would undertake to have them repaired and painted as soon as possible. There had been numerous inquiries for , them this week. The Department of Internal Affairs wrote enclosing the proclamation appointing air. C. E. Bellringer a member of the board. Mr. A. Gray (Director of the Technical College) wrote accepting the board's terms in"connection with the use of the Pukokura Park Sports Ground by the I college as a playing ground.
