Ltd., report:— At Inglewood yards on Wednesday, 23rd instant, we had a full yarding of stock, and report a most successful sale, almost the whole yarding changing hands at the hammer or afterwards. Store wethers' 25s (Id, ewes in lamb 20s, fresh conditioned cows £8 to £8 14s, forward cows £7 9s to £B, store cows £0 10 9 to £7 7s, small store cows and empty heifers £4 15s to £0 ss, yearling steers £4 4s to £5, yearling heifers £3 14s Od to £3 10s. There was a good entry of dairy stock, and those close to profit sold under good competition. Backward sorts were hard to quit. Dairy cows £8 10s to £l3 10s, heifers £«' 10s to £l3, weaner pigs 10 s to 21s, sows and litters £8 5s to £9. At Kaponga fat cows sold at £lO 10s to £ll Bs, forward cows £0 9s to £lO 2s, store cows £8 12s to £9 ss, small store, cows £5 10s to £7 17s, empty heifers £3 Ids to £(!, yearling heifers £2 15s to £3 12s. Springing cows and heifers were in good demand, and realised: Cows from £9 10s to £ll, heifers from. £0 15s to £9 10s. At Hawera, on Friday and Saturday, we held our annual spring horse fair. We had a large entry on both days, and bidding was good on heavy and halfdraughts and milk carters. Hacks were not in very great \ demand. The prices obtained for heavy draughts were £3O 10s to £39 10s unbroken'draughts £23 10s to £35 ss, milk carters and halfdraughts £l9 to £35, hacks and harness horses £5 to £2O.
