, THE DEUTSCHLAND. ARRIVES AT BREMEN. Received August 24, 8.40 p.m. Amsterdam, August 23. The Deutschland has arrived at Bremen. THE WESTFALEN. TORPEDOED, BUT REPAIRABLE. . Received August 24, 0.40 p.ro Amsterdam, August 23. A semi-official message from Berlin admits that the battleship Westfalen, which is of the Nassau class, was hit by a torpedo on the 10th, The message says: The Westfalen is repairable and remained capable of manoeuvring. A second torpedo missed the vessel. A FANTASTIC STORY. GERMAN SUCCESS DENIED BY ADMIRALTY. Received August 24, 0.40 p.m. London, August 23. The Admiralty denies the German story that a submarine severely damaged a British battleship. There is not a particle of truth in the fantastic story.
