RIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. The Department of Agriculture, Industries, and Commerce has received the following cablegram from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, dated London, August 10 (Note, quotations, unless otherwise specified, are average market prices on spot): Meat.—Owing to continued small suplilies of New Zealand mutton and lamb, Argent'ne mutton prices are highei, Home killed mutton and English lamb are in good supply. Secondary quality New Zealand beef is in poor demand at lower prices. New Zealand mutton B%d lb; ewe mutton, S.ld; Argentine mutton, !Ud; New Zealand lamb, n.id; Argentine lamb, lid; New Zealand bull beef, hinds, 4%d, fores 4 ; Jd; Argentine, (.'Hilled beef, hinds iUd; fores Old. Butter—The market continues firm. Danish salted per cwt. 190s to 200s; Irish creamery salted 178s to 182s, misalted 180s to lSls; Canadian salted 174s to 178s; New Zealand salted 170s to 180s, good to fine quality salted 170s to 1745; Argentine unsalted 174s to 17(!s. Cheese. —The market is firmer. Canadian white 05s to !)Ss; English Cheddar 108s to 112s; New Zealand white !)7s to 08s, colored !)3s to 07s; speculative buying White Ms to !)')-, colored Oils to 04s. Wool. —The market is dull and unsettled on account of the possibility of the Government requisitioning colonial wool.
