MUNITION WORKERS GOING HOME. Melbourne, August 23. The Federal Government is sending 150 men to England to assist in the manufacture of munitions.. The Government is introducing a Bill empowering the Stale War Council to administer the various Victorian patriotic funds. ' The Assembly has amended the Bill to abolish German schools so as to make the cancellation of the registration of German schools permanent. Brisbane, August 22. The Governor's speech at the opening of Parliament stated that 00,00(1 acres of fertile land were ready for occupation by soldiers.
