THE ROMANI FIGHT. AUSTRALASIANS; WORK Afi'KLUXATED. Wellington, Last Night The Governor has received a cable from Sir Archibald Murray, Commander-Ih-Cliief in Egypt, which, after repeating the details given in the cables of the severe defeat recently indicted on the ■Turks, adds: "During the whole of these operations the brunt of the fighting fell on the Australian anil New Zealand mounted division. Under General Shauvel this division finely ,iphold the traditions of the Commonwealth and Do minion troops. It fought ivitli great steadfastness, gallantry and untiring energy throughout. Its commander aiiJ all his men have every right to be proud of their achievement, and have the satisfaction of knowing that for each one of their casualties they accounted for about ten of the enemy. I wish to jilaee on record .nv warm appreciation of the services of the Commonwealth and Dominion troops."
