The setting of the play is rather different from what one i 8 accustomed to, hut this, in Miea Spinney's capable hands, only added tot 1 the cimrm. It consisted of a dark backl ground relieved by two pillars wreathed in lilies and supporting candles. Tha dressing was also ill keeping with tha : ancient times. Though t& many tha theme wag unfamiliar, Miss Spinneys lroni tile opening lines, held the interest of the audience, who showed their plea* sure in no uncertain way.
