WEDDING.

ROSS-WATKIX.-(From Our Huiroa Correspondent). A wedding of interest was celebrated in the Methodist Church, iFluiroa, on Wednesday, August l(i, ivJicn George Thomas Ross, third son of .Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Ross, of Huiroa, was married to Miss Alma Pearl Watldn, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Watkin, Katon Farm, Huiroa, and grand-daughter of the late William Jones, of Squire Hall, Shropshire' Kngland. The Rev. Aker oliieiated, and the church wafe tastefully decorated by the friends of the bride with evergreens, spring flowers, and a large wedding, bell, under which the party stood during the ceremony. Miss Ruby Watkin, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, and Mr. Roy Ross, brother of the bridegroom, as best man. Miss Ivy Perrott presided at the organ and played the wedding hymn, and the weather being fine, a large number of guests were present, and the school children also evinced interest in the proceedings. After the ceremony the guests assembled at the residence of the bride's parents, where refreshments were partaken of. The Minister, in a few congratulatory remarks, voiced the esteem in which the bride an<l bridegroom and their parents were held. The party left b;r, motor, en' route for their honeymoon, amidst good wishes .and showers of confetti. The bride's wedding dress was a beautiful erepe do chine, trimmed with real lace and pearls. She also wore the usual veil and orange 'blossoms and carried a bouquet of camellias and snowdrops. Her travelling 1 dress was navy blue, with brown hat of the latest style. The bridesmaid wore a beautiful dress of white embroidered voile and carried a bouquet of spring flowers. The gift of the bridegroom to the bride was a gold bracelet, set with diamonds and rubies. Among the numerous presents were several cheques and a 'handsome Bible presented by the grandmother. A number of congratulatory telegrams were received from relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Ross intend to make their new 'home near Stratford.
