SECURITY FOR LOAN TO BRITAIN. New York, August 10. United States steel shares, which fell to 3S in 1015, to-day reached 01, the highest since 11)10. Loan notes will shortly be offered to the public at 00, plus interest. British taxes arc not to be assessed against the notes. The securities consist ol three groups of bonds and stocks of \merieau corporations, Canadian Government bonds, Canadian IPacilio Railway bonds, and bonds and other obligations of specified neutral Powers. In each case bonds must be of the total value of a hundred million dollars, and their aggregate market value must be at least 20 per cent, in excess of the face value of Mie loan. THE LOAN ANNOUNCED. Securities for lliree hundred million dollars must be approved by Morgan's. It is understood | that the loan is chiefly to steady the 'rate of exchange.
