TALLOW SALES. WOOLLEN TRADE CONTROL. Australian-N.il. Cable Association. Received August 17, (i.lo p.m. London, August 1(5. Tallow.—At the sales, 4!jG casks were o:)ered, but received no bids. Quotations are nominal for both mutton and beef, line iOs, medium 4155. An Order-iil-Council established control of the woollen manufacturing trade, in view of limitng prices. The schedule specifies that all materials, wholly oi partially manufactured from wool. There is some doubt whether it applies to the whole trade or only to the manufacture ol mi ferial for war purposes. It is understood tlijit the authorities are considering the point.
