Butter.—The market closed firm at the itdvance. Danish, salted, per cwt.. 194s to 1965; Irish creamery, salted 170s to ,1725, unsalted 172s to 1745; Canadian, Sialted 170s to 1725; New Zealand, salted 17-Is to 178s, good to fine quality 154s •\o 170s; Argentine, unsalted 172s to 1745. Cheese.—The market continues firm. Canadian, white Uss to fltts per cwt., colored 94s to 9.15; English eheddar, 108s 'id; Now Zealand, white 90s to 975, colored 94s to 955. Hemp.—Manila market has fluctuated very much and closed lower. New. Zealand market is quieter, but -Dominion offerings are very small. Government graded fair manila liemp, per ton, £sl ids/ good fair New Zealand £49, fair £4O 10s. Quotations are nominal. August-October shipment— Government graded coarse manila £47 10s, good fair ' ":sew Zealand £4B iOs, fair £4O. Output of hemp at Manila for the week ending i last Saturday was 32,000 bales. Stocks , of New Zealand hemp on hand July 31 were 455 tons. ! Wheat.—The market is firm, but prices continue to advance. Milling demand is better, but sellers offer sparingly.
