OBITUARY.
MP.. W. MOREY. SENR. Tup. death took place yesterday of a very old New Plymouth resident in the person of Mr. Walter Morey. He had been ailing for some time, and his end was not unexpected. The late Mr. Morey came to \ T cw Zealand in 18GS, and four years aftei settled in New Plymouth, where, he established the drapery business that is now known as .Morey and Son. He was a member of tlio Borough Council and took a keen interest in all public matters. He was also right up to the last a keen bowler, being one of the founders of the New Plymouth Club. In business he was "straight as a. gun-barrel," and was always ready to do one a good turn. He leaves a family of seven—four sons ami three daughters. The bov« are: Mr. J. C. (Morey & Son), Ralph (Talata), Eric (with the N.Z. forces in France), Alfred (with the British forces), and Walter (in Featherston camp). The daughters are Misses M., .1., and 0. Morey. The interment will be private.
