THE EMPIRk A GRIFFITH "TRUXGLE" DRAMA TO-XIGHT. "TIIE LILY AND THE ROSE." ROZSIKA DOLLY TORTSAYS THE BAXCE OF IXSEXSE. How (lie charms of a woman won a man from his wife is pictured in "The Lily and the Rose," the new Triangle play coming to the Empire Theatre tonight. Lilian Gish. who is such a favorite witli many of the Dominion's picturelovers, played the part of Mary Ran : _ iloiph. the sweet Southern lily, and Ros T '.ilea Lolly, the Russian den'ouse, played | La Rettc Rose. Miss Gish is the girl' of South. She is shown living in a beautiful house, surrounded by flowers and shrubs. Then a fashionable relative fires the girl's imagination by telling her; of an ex-football hero and a master of' men. She meets and marries him. The: man soon tires of his young wife, and goes to see a lively sh.nv. He is not much interested until Miss Dolly appears in an Oriental dance. Then swiftly follows his acquaintance with her. This Griffith feature has a most unusual finale, and is credited with being the best Triangle feature to be show here. Setting, acting and detail are said to be remarkably line. In addition to "The Lily and the 'Rose," there is an interesting ■•Patlie Gazette," with some live war pictures of Salonika and VerdUn, and a snap-hot of the exiled King and Queen of Montenegro; a lively comedy, entitled "Playing the Same Game," and some excellent views of Nile-side scenes in Egypt, and one of Mr. Andrew Fisher inspecting the Australian troops in Egypt. "The Lily and the Rose" will be screened to-night and to-morrow night. Seats for both nights can be reserved at Collier's for Is.
