"' Butter.—Market very firm; Australian is practically cleared A few choice lots fetched 158s to 100s; New Zealand, KIOs to 108s, exceptional lots up to 170s. It is now definitely decided that e.vportation of Siberian butter will not be permitted, except, possibly, a small quantity in the late autumn, so that supplies henceforward will probably be short. Cheese.—The market is recovering, the lower prices having stimulated the demand. New Zealand 88s to 009. Sugar.—Unchanged. Wheat.—The market is quiet with an easier tendency. Flour.—Market firm. No Australian offering. Barley.—Market steady. Oats, quiet; peas firm, New Zealand maples, 55s to 03s; bcana firm, New Zealand spring 50s to 525. LONDON WOOL SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Aency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house under date, l!)th inst: Wool sales: Market active, as compared with Bth June. Merino superior 5 per cent to 11 per cent., medium inferior 74 per cent, to 10 per cent., and lambs 5 per cent, higher. Crossbred, greasy and scoured medium and coarse about 5 per cent., lambs par to a per cent, lower; others little change.
