He points out Iliat the Germans are in a dilemna, as they do not know wheiv to expect, the next Russian blow, because the Russians are liittiug here, there and every where, but the Germans are clever fencers and have never fought more des- ' perately. i Mr. Washburn adds that it is a mistake to imagine the Germans are on the verge of collapse, although the shortage of food at home is causing the troops uneasiness and anxiety and affecting their morale. The Austro-German losses in ten days here were 75.000 to 100,000. ENEMY ADVANCE CHECKED. HOSPITAL BOMBED. A ZEPPELIN WRECKED. Petrograd, July 20. A communiue says: Enemy aeroplanes bombed the hospital at Lizaret Zamieren, north-east of Baranovitchi, killing throe doctors, ten patients, and wounding 28. We cheeked the advance of the enemy south-east of Oorckhoy. The overflow of the Dniester continues. The valleys are flooded and the slopes to the heights are so slippery as to be almost unclimbablc. Many bridges have been washed away. We occcpicd the town of Kuri, an important junction of the roads to Erzerum, Lhaputi and Khzindjtlui. The Hague, July 20. It is reported at Cologne that Russian guns wrecked a Zeppelin at Riga. AUSTRIAN REPORT. Received July 21, 10.5 p.m. Amsterdam, July 21. An Austrian communique states: The Germans in Volhynia forced back the enemy coming from the westward of Zcivinacze.
