ORIENTAL SALE.
The flood Templar Hall just now is transformed into a veritable Eastern bazaar with all its wealth of ailks, sil-ver-ware, and hieknacks. Mrs. McKenzie, who lor some years has been a hard worker in the interest of Ramabai's Mission for (lie Child Widows of India, opened the sale ( yesterday, and up to a late hour last night good business was being done. The proceeds this year are being devoted to the British I-'.od Cross Fund. The bazaar is certainly worth a visit of inspection, and visitors last night proved to be buyers. Assisting Mrs. McKenzie is Mrs. Matthews, of Wanganui, and members of the New I'lymouth branch (of which Mrs. Hall is secretary) lent valuable aid. Songs during the evening were contributed by Mcsdamc-s Wilkes, Somerville, MacDon■ild and Mr. MaeDonald.

Japanese stall: Misses Matthews, Rlundell, Cutfield (2), Oriental Kimono jackets; Mesdames lTomior, Skelly, P. Smith, Miss Devenish. White linen stall: Mesdames Fulton, Carter, U. White, Miss llodder. Lace stall: .Mesdames Somerville, Cameron, Misses lloekel, Ambury, Rac. Blouse stall: Mesdames Freeth and Bowden. Silk and handkerchief stall: Miss Thomson. Toy stall: Misses Taunt, Ilonnor, A. Rae, -S. Thomson. Produce: Mesdames Newton King, Cock, Wilson, Matthews, K. F. BUmdell and Miss Stephenson Smith. Afternoon tea: Mesdames Dockrill, Addenbrook, Misses Curtis, Fabian and Sole. The sale will be continued this afternoon and evening.
