DISTRICT NEWS.
TARIKI. (I'i'oin our own Correspondent.) Oil Thursday evening last the Anzac Minstrels paid u visit to Tariki under tlie auspices of the local Patriotic Society. The Weather was all that could be desired, and a crowded house faced the Anzaes when the curtain rose. The first part of the programme was the usual minstrel circle, and judging by the applause of the audience, they 'must have been in good form, every song being encored. The second part of the programme consisted of duets, recitations and Mr. Foley; this part of the programme was also well received, a \ery pleasing feature being the accompanying of the orchestra right through. The Society endeavored to make their visit a pleasant one, and feel gratified for their services. They also wish to thank the Stratford people who provided the ears. The Society should have about £lO to hand over to the Wounded Soldiers' Fund, and we look forward with pleasure to their next vkit.
