HOCKEY.
On Saturday last the annual hockey match, Stratford High School v. New Plymouth flirls' High School, took place at' New Plymouth. At first play was fairly even, the score at half time being one goal fo- New Plymouth. During the whole of the second spell Stratford attacked strongly, keeping New Plymouth on the defensive. P. Wells and V. Sangster scored for Stratford, and, no score being made by New Plymouth, the game ended 2—l in favor of Stratford. Mr. Sole was referee.
