Mr. William Prkleaux, a former wellknown resident nl Wellington, died iu Sydney towards the end of last month, at the advanced age of 90. Among those reported as wouHded, in recent casualty lists, are I'rivtite Cecil Guildford, Taiuta, and Corporal A. E. Howell, New Plymouth. Mr. H. R. Bloxam, of the Bind: of New Zealand, New Plymouth, left yesterday morning for Kaponga, where he will act as manager during the illness of Mr. C. Severne. Mr. Eric Grant, who has been stationed at the Hastings branch of the Bank of New South Wales for the past year or two, has resigned in order to proceed to the front. He is the third son of Mrs. J Grant, of New Plymouth,
