FIRST TRIANGLE FILM.
♦i THEATRE ROYAL-MOXDAY. "Tin: COWARD." "The Coward." the Triangle K.B. ■ilvinia, produced by tlie master <>f big Tiios. H. fnce, which is the chief attraction on the new programme to be shown at the Theatre Royal for three nights commencing on Monday next, has had so much praise bestowed on it that the eulogies sound like exaggeration. To quote from one Sydney paper— '■ The Coward' is one of the best aV.-round films we've seen. The story early takes its hold on the audience, and never loses its grip. There are thrills a-plenty, and the battle scenes alone prove that Ir.ee is a master-producer of big things. And, best of all, 'The Coward' carries an appeal to the best there is in any man or woman—it is the kind of picture we want." The story of the stern old father —wonderfully enacted, it is said, by Mr. Frank Kcenan—who, to save the family name from the stigma of cowardice, takes the place of the coward son in the ranks, only to discover finally that his boy had proved true to the generations of lighting blood in his veins, is splendidly told in a vigorous, convincing yet natural manner. ''The Coward," the first of the Triangle plays yet seen here, should attract bumper houses, and is sure to arouse considerable interest. A good supporting programme has been arranged The prices are as usual, and seats may be booked at Collier's. The musical programme will be in the hands of the Symphony Orchestra.
