WEDDING BELLS.
"BOLGER—BARLEYMAX. A very pretty and popular wedding was solemnised at'the Catholic Church, Kaponga, ou June i\, when llargareta .Maude, second daughter of Mrs. Barleyman, of Kaponga, was united in the bonds of matrimony to John Martin Bob ger, second son of Mr. Martin Bolger, of Ilawera. The ceremony was performed hy tlie Rev. Father Cahill, who also celebrated the Xuptial Mass. As the bridal party entered the church, the "Wedding March" was played by Mrs. Grocott. The '"' ide, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. Tierney, of Palmerston Xorth. wore an exceedingly pretty dress of shell-pink brocaded satin beautifully trimmed with pink ninor and pearls. She wore a beautifully-worked veil, arranged in a mob cap, with the usual wreath of orange blossoms, and curried a dainty bouquet composed of feathers, pale pink roses and turtle doves, which was sent from Ireland. .She was attended bv her cousin (Miss Edith llarleymun) and Miss Kathcrine Bolger, both of Ilawera. They wore pretty pinafore dresses of crepe de chine, witl blouses of white ninon over pale pink, and black taffeta hats, with a large pink rose at the side. Both were carrying a sheaf of white lilies. The nridesroom was attended by his brother, Gun ner Walter Bolger, of the X.Z.F.A., as best man. and Mr. John Barloymfin brother of the bride, as groomsman. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a beautiful cameo ring, and to the bridesmaids a gold brooch, set with emeralds and pearls, and a cameo brooch, respectively. The bride's present to the bridegroom was a gold locket, set with rubies and diamonds. After the cere-. inony the guests were conveyed to the Kapuni Hall in numerous motor-cars, where about 2(\» guests partook of the wedding breakfast, which was presided ove. by the Rev. Fathei CahiU, who 'proposed the health of the newly-mar-ried couple. Very appropriate speeches; were made by the Rev. Father Saunderson and many others, friends being pre-, sent from ail parts of the Dominion. Subsequently, amid showers of rice and good wishes <v. their many friends, Mr. ami Mrs Bolger left by motor-car en route to Auckland, the bride travelling in a ,ery smart grey garbardine costume, trimmed with military braid, and a becoming black bat. lined with pink and finished with a white osprey. The wedding presents were numerous and costly, including many .heques (amounting to abnii' JL'ISOI, which bore testimony to the high esteem in which they are held.
