BRITAIN PREPARED.
MATINEE TO-DAY AT 3 p.m. The season of the official war films which have been given the title of ''Britain Prepared" will commence to-day at the Theatre Royal. A special matinee will be given at 3 p.m. in addition to the evening performance. The series, which occupy the entire programme, were taken with the approval of the Admiralty, War Office, and the Minister of Munitions, and they give a wonderful insight into the extraordinarily complete measures taken by Great Britain to build up an army and keep the silent Navy supreme. In London the same series received the patronage of the King and Queen, and the Hon. A. J. Balfour addressed the audience. The Evening News says: "These pictures give us a vivid presentation of the driving power of war, a thing which cannot be imagined, but must be seen. The question, 'What did Britain do in the great war?' is answered." The London Globe says: "At last through the great eye of the cinema we are shown most minutely how a huge nrmv lias been made in a year and a half. It is only on seeing these pictures U'at one comprehends that it has been done." The box plan, which is rapidly filling is at Collier's. '
