J. C. WILLIAMSON PANTOMIME. The box plan for J. C. Williamson Pantomime will be opened at Collier's on Friday next. What is recognised throughout' Australia as, par excellence, the dramatic event of the year—the annual .T. C. Williamson jiautomime—this time "Mother Goose," is due at the Theatre Royal for a season of one night only, on Tuesday next at 7.45. The efforts of the big firm are usually of an elaborate nature in the way of pantomime, but it is understood that this year's attraction —Mother Goose—overshadows all predecessors in the prodigality of production. For the last 12 months, agents of J. C. Williamson, Ltd., have been ceaselessly engaged ill a 3earch for the best of artists. The result of which is that in Mother Goose, it is understood will be seen the cleverest combination of artists that have ever appeared in pantomime in Australia, 110 fewer than five of whom have figured prominently in a Drury Lane cast. These artists in Melbourne recently achieved iin instantaneous success and became the most popular pantomime performers ever seen in that city Special feature will be included at the matinees, the youngsters having been specially catered for. It takes 14 big scenes to interpret the story, most of which requires the full extent of the stage for their development. Some 150 people are engaged in the production inclusive of mechanists, artificers, stage hands and others of t.ie mechanical staff. The pantomime will be presented under the personal direction of Mr. Charles Wenman. The J. C. Williamson "Mother Coose" pantomime has no connection, we understand, with any performance recently given bearing the same title.
