A hundred thousand, including many prisoners, ,are strengthening the Kovel defences, extending for ten miles from the town. Don Cossacks crossing . the Dneister southwest of Rukzocz threaten Kolomca, an important junction. It is expected that the Cossacks wil) sweep round the Cherniva river from the west.
