A GENERAL RETIRES Received June 27, 11 p.m. Amsterdam June 27. General Von Bulow has retired, on the ground of ill-health, A GERMAN REPORT. London, June 26. A German communique jtates: There has been considerable fighting and activity during the last two days on our front opposite the British and northern French wing. The cnciny made a nigllit attack westward of Mort -Homme, but failed before our machine-guns and artillery. The enemy's attack, the strongest forces on the right bank of the Meuse against our positions at Froide Terre, terminated during the evening in utter failure, and was repulsed with great losses after some Ihand-to-hand fighting in our lines. Our air squadrons bombed a British camp eastward of Doullens. Fighting in which we are successful is proceeding westward ot Sokul and near Zeaturce. Since the 10th, General Linsingsen has taken 11,000 prisoners and captured two guns and 55 machineguns.
