SUCCESSFUL ATTACKS. Rome, June 25. An Italian communique says: —The enemy's artillery activity increased yesterday between the Adige and the Brenta. We destroyed some positions southward of Asiago. In an infantry encounter westward of Rosna and south- - ward of Arsiero we attacked, driving the enemy back. Our aeroplanes bombed encampments on the Asiago plateau. THE STAFF PRAISED. Rome, June 25. General Cadorna, in a general order, praises the staff for the concentration of the great forces which have not merely arrested the enemy offensive on the whole front, but enabled the coun-ter-offensive which has ■ftow been successfully begun.
ITALY'S FORWARD MOVE. AUSTRIANS RETREAT. ~ Received June 27, 1.5 a.m. , ~ , , Rime, June 2fi. Official: The Austrians are retreating in Trentino, and the Italians are in close pursuit. We have recaptured numerous posltipna in the region of Asiago and Arsiero.
