LOST OVERBOARD.
TWO DISAPPEARANCES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last N'ight.t On the arrival of the Moana, from San Francisco, it was reported tliat on April 30, the day the vessel left Wellington on her outward voyage, the chief cook, A. Weightman, disappeared somewhere off Cape Palliser. He was called in the afternoon, but later could not be found. He is believed to have been an Englishman, hut nothing else is known about him. While a special service steamer was coming from Auckland to Wellington last night, the boatswain, A. Tristram, was apparently lost overboard. The weather was fine and the son, smooth. Tristram was. seen a little after eleven o'cloak, but at one o'clock this morning he could not be found. He was 41 years of age, had friends in Dunedin, and brothers and sisters in Liverpool.
