SATISFACTORY PROGRESS. London, June 16. General Smuts reports that after considerable difficulty, due to lack of water and the density of the bush, a portion of Hoskins' column reached Kwedizwa, six miles north of Handeni on June 15. Advanced troops reached Kilimanjaro village on June 16-. A considerable German force is reported entrenched near the Handeni water supply. Simultaneously Hannyngton's column, advancing along the railway, occupied the importmt station of Ivarogwe and secured the bridge over the Pangani. Our forces occupied the island of Skerewe on Lake Victoria, noith of the German fort of Nwanga, capturing a quantity of stores.
