AEROPLANE FROM U.S.S. CO. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Thursday The Prime Minister stated in the House to-day that he had received from the managing director of the Union Steamship Co. a letter enclosing a cheque for .€'2250, which he suggested should lie allotted to the purchase of an aero? plane, to be called the "Maori." The IPi'ime Minister said he had had great pleasure in giving efl'ect to the company's wish. Mr. Massey also announced that be bad received a cheque for £IOOO from Hon. A. M. Myers, to be remitted to the Auckland branch of the Navy League, to be donated to the Sailors' Widows' and Children's Fund.
