SAILED. Wellington, June 13. —At 4.15 p.m., Niagara, for Suva. RARAWA'S CARGO. The Rarawa yesterday brought 99 ions of general cargo, including 34 tons of manure and 3D tons of sugar. NOTES. , The amalgamation of the Cunard Steamship Company, Ltd., and tne Commonwealth and Dominion Line, Ltd., is of interest to Australasia. The- Cunard Company has a share capital of £1,839,600, In addition to this it has £2,970,000 debenture capital, of wliieli £1,690,000 is in 2% per cent, debenture stock (Government guaranteed) and £1,280,000 in -I per cent, mortgage debentures. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line, which has assets in a number of companies, including the Australasian Steam Navigation and Tvser Lines, possesses a share capital of £1,997,544 and £88,200 in 5 per cent, debentures. The comoined capital is therefore £(i,594,443. The report recently issued by the Cunard Company showed a net profit of £1,347,351, of which £559,003 was applied to depreciation, £482/573 to insurance und reserve, and the ordinary dividend was 20 per cent: The last dividend of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line was 10 per cent.
