The chi'di-en npn"\r"d to take a live interest in what flmv «aw. in the evening then' was a (Mod attendanee for an "oil' day '' The Gitizens' Band again rendered a very attractive programme. To-day will see the conclusion of the Show, and with the prospects of fine weather there should he a record attendance. Country visitors are reminded that as well as the usual J 25 train, a train will leave at 0 p.m. In the evening the gift poultry will be auctioned, as well as- the . immcrona other gifts from exhibitors. Messrs., L. A. Nolan and, C. Fairbrother will be the auctioneers. The various art liniont will also be drawn. The etlf guessing competition will*he decided rn■ Monday, and notified in Tuesday's paper. Notification is given that after I) p.m., no one will be allowed in the hall to pack up, without a permit from the secretary. An exhibit that is worthy of inspection is the model of n (Mlffr overhead tniss bridge, built to scale from a public works plan, by it young boy nanfed Eric Smart. It is complete in every detail, and for workmanship and Anish would be a distinct credit to nn expert tradesman. Accompanying it is s plan also drawn by the lad.
TRADE DISPLAYS. (Published by arrangement.) THE OVERLAND CAR. Space forbids'mention of all the displays at the Show, h-it in the machinery annexe, there are some motor earn which have not yet received mention that deserve more than passing notice. Mr. Byrn, the local agent, is showing two of the latest IMB model 3fl-h.p. fiveseater Overland cars, a typo that has already made itself' popular among it» numerous Taranaki purchasers. It possesses many features that appeal, including em-block engine, enclosed valve, and is fitted up with -the electric selfstarter and lights. Nicely upholstered and finished, its appearance mnei appeal to all. Mr. Byrn will willingly demonstrate its capabilities to any prospective purchaser. THE OAKLAND CAR, Mr. A. Smith, of the Criterion Oarag*. h showing the Oakland, a car which, quickly popularised itself in Taranaki. There are four on view, two having been! in use for some months and having been repainted, show that the engines stand the test of Taranaki roads.' The new, ears comprise a*4o-h.p, four cylinder, two-seater roadster, and a 35-h,p. five* passenger touring ear, 11)10 models. Their streamline bodies, unbroken froin front of solid nickel radiator to bad? of car, give them a very pleasino ippearanee. Light ben-/iu'e ecnsuiuulion makes them an ideal car
