The pilot regained the lines, despite the fact that his machine itas riddled. A second French aviator ; attacked and bought down the Fokker. bur aviators brought down two other enemy machines, and motor guns brought down two at Verdun. GERMAN RAIDS. TOTAL CASUALTIES. London, May 29. Mr. Samuel, in the House of Commons, Mid that since the war began the three naval attacks on Britain had killed 141 and injured 611. There had been forty-four air raids, Jtrhich had killed 409 and injured 1003. AN AEfcOPLAXE ACCIDENT. London, Kay 29. Captain Grime Jones and 'Lieutenant Henry Tennant, eldest son of the UnderSecretary for War, were flying in a biplane in Kent when the machine sideslipped. Captain Grime Jones was killed outright, and Lieutenant Tennant was seriously injured. aftANDON'S DARING FEAT. Sydney, May 30. Letters received by the English mail state that congratulations from all quarters were showered on Lieutenant Brandon, who wrecked a Zeppelin.
