COMPULSORY SERVICE UNLIKELY. Sydney, May 29. Asked as to the possibility of the Federal Government following New Zealand's example and introducing some measure of compulsory service, Senator Gardiner said that the recent secret meeting,of Parliament showed that at present ■conscription was neither necesaary nor Wanted; Only those who did lot know were, advocating conscriptios.
